Refund Policy
We aim for every author to be happy with the work. Here's how refunds, cancellations, and revisions work.
1. Pre-Production Refunds
If you change your mind before any work has started, you are eligible for a full refund of your deposit, minus any non-refundable third-party fees already paid on your behalf (e.g., ISBN registration).
2. Mid-Project Cancellation
If you cancel after work has begun, refunds are pro-rated based on the percentage of work completed:
- 0 - 25% complete: 75% refund of paid amount
- 25 - 50% complete: 50% refund of paid amount
- 50 - 75% complete: 25% refund of paid amount
- 75 - 100% complete: No refund (final delivery)
3. Quality Guarantee
If you're unsatisfied with the work delivered, we offer unlimited revisions on editing and multiple rounds on cover/design until you're happy. Our goal is to make the work right not to find ways to deny refunds.
4. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable once initiated:
- ISBN registrations and platform listing fees
- Printed proof copies
- Paid advertising spend already deployed
- Audiobook narration time after recording has begun
5. Marketing Subscriptions
Monthly marketing plans can be cancelled at any time. You'll continue to receive deliverables through the end of your current billing month, and no further charges will be made.
6. Refund Timeline
Approved refunds are processed within 7-14 business days to the original payment method.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email info@godevicopublishing.com with your customer ID and reason. We'll respond within 24 hours to confirm next steps.
8. Disputes
If we can't resolve a refund question to your satisfaction, we're open to good faith mediation. We've never had to do this but the option is there.
