A loyal readership that does not shop on Amazon.
Barnes & Noble has millions of loyal readers, many of whom prefer Nook devices and BN.com over Amazon. Publishing there is a simple way to reach them.
B&N Press handles eBooks and print books directly, with its own formatting requirements, categories and promotional tools. We prepare your files to spec and write metadata that suits how B&N readers browse.
Your account and royalties stay yours. We simply make sure everything is set up properly and linked to your wider publishing plan.

Wide Strategy
Advice on combining B&N with Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play.
Is B&N worth it if I am already on Amazon?
For most authors publishing wide, yes. It costs nothing extra to list there, and some genres, including romance, fantasy and young adult, have committed Nook readers. If your eBook is enrolled in KDP Select, though, it cannot be sold on Nook during the enrollment period. Print books are not affected.

Barnes & Noble Press questions, answered
Straight answers to what authors ask us most.
B&N Press is Barnes & Noble's self-publishing platform for eBooks on Nook and print books sold on BN.com.
Your print book can be on B&N at any time. Your eBook cannot be sold on Nook while it is enrolled in KDP Select, because that program requires eBook exclusivity.
B&N Press makes your book available online. In-store placement is decided by store buyers and is not guaranteed for self-published titles.
You do, directly from Barnes & Noble, because the book is published in your own account.
Once your files are ready, B&N listings typically go live within a few days.
B&N setup is included in our Author Pro and Author Elite packages, or can be quoted separately after a free consultation.
Book your free consultation
Tell us where your book is today. A publishing specialist will review it and send clear, honest next steps, usually within one business day.
