A life worth telling,
told well.
Commission a biography of a parent, a grandparent, a company founder or a figure your community should not forget. We research, interview and write a life story that is accurate and genuinely readable.
Facts make it true. Storytelling makes it read.
A good biography does two jobs at once. It gets the facts right, dates, places, names and context, and it turns those facts into a story with tension, change and meaning.
Our biographers interview the people who knew your subject, work through letters, photos, records and archives, and build a narrative that lets readers understand who this person really was.
Whether the book is a family keepsake or a published history, you approve the outline and every chapter before it is final.

Who commissions a biography?
Most of our biography clients are families who want to preserve a parent or grandparent's life before the details are lost. Others are organizations honoring a founder, communities marking the life of a leader, or authors who have researched a historical figure for years and need help shaping the material.
What to gather before your consultation
- A list of people who knew the subject and are willing to talk
- Letters, diaries, certificates, military or work records
- Photographs with as many names and dates as you know
- Any existing family trees, newspaper clippings or eulogies
If you are writing about your own life rather than someone else's, see our memoir writing and autobiography writing services instead.

Biography Writing questions, answered
Straight answers to what authors ask us most.
Yes. Many of our biographies are written after the subject has died. We rely on interviews with people who knew them, plus letters, photos and records, and we are honest in the text about anything that cannot be confirmed.
We can, using published sources and interviews. For living public figures we recommend working with the subject or their estate where possible, and we take care to avoid claims that cannot be supported.
It depends on the scope. A family biography might involve three to six interviews, while a business or community history may need more. We agree the list with you during planning.
Most biographies take four to eight months because research and interview scheduling add time. We set a timeline with milestones before writing starts.
Biographies are quoted individually after a free consultation, based on length, research depth and number of interviews. You receive a clear written quote first.
You do. You hold the copyright and any royalties, and our writers sign an NDA and remain uncredited unless you choose otherwise.
